MMY Reality was born out of a simple belief: important stories deserve more than a paragraph.
We are a Wales-born immersive storytelling company founded to transform how stories are told, learned and preserved. We create virtual reality and immersive experiences that help audiences encounter history, identity, memory and lived experience in powerful new ways.
Our work combines documentary research, cultural sensitivity, oral history, dramatic reconstruction and emerging immersive technology. We believe technology should serve the story — not overpower it.
We work with museums, universities, public bodies, cultural organisations, community groups, media organisations and private families to create experiences that audiences can connect with, remember and reflect on long after they remove the headset.

From experiment to practice.
2023
MMY Reality begins through R&D-funded experimentation, developing an immersive storytelling prototype that explores the intersection of documentary practice and emerging VR technology.
2025
The prototype is trialled with third-year students at the University of South Wales in April 2025. The response demonstrates real potential as a tool for education, cultural engagement, public communication and empathy-based learning.
2026
Following interest from public sector stakeholders and government representatives, MMY Reality officially launches in May 2026 — ready to serve institutions, communities, educators and families across Wales and beyond.
Purposeful, research-led, human.
Our Vision
To transform how people experience history, identity and lived experience by making stories immersive, emotionally resonant and accessible across generations.
Our Mission
MMY Reality creates evidence-based VR and immersive storytelling experiences that preserve memory, deepen empathy and help audiences understand the people, places and histories that shape society.
Our Belief
History should not only be read, watched or archived. It should be encountered. We create experiences that allow audiences to stand closer to a story — whatever that story may be.

History should not only be read, watched or archived. It should be encountered.
We create experiences that allow audiences to stand closer to a story — whether that story belongs to a community, a historical figure, a public campaign or a family elder whose memories deserve to be preserved.
